Our Exceptional Preventative Care and Wellness-focused Veterinary Services Keep Your Pets Healthier Long-term

We recommend twice annual wellness visits for dogs, cats, and the other small mammals we treat. At these visits, our doctors perform thorough physical exams, vaccinate when needed, and test dogs for heartworm disease, tick-borne diseases, and intestinal parasites.

Emphasizing preventative medicine, dental care, and nutrition, our team will expertly address any questions or concerns you have about your pet. While we recommend that all pets visit us at least once a year, more frequent exams can better help prevent disease and chronic problems, especially in older animals.

Which Pets Do We Treat With Preventative Veterinary Services?

Deeply experienced in small animal and small mammal veterinary services, we frequently treat dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters, rats, hedgehogs, ferrets, gerbils, mice, and degus. With capabilities for vaccinations, advanced diagnostics, lab services, specialized treatment plans, and surgeries, we can meet all of your pet’s needs.

We are dedicated to providing a high level of service, and we treat pet owners and their pets like family. As one long-time customer recounts, “Our fur babies, past and present, have been cared for by [Mount Airy Veterinary Associates] for almost 20 years… And we wouldn’t change a thing! Compassionate, honest, and thorough — we are blessed to have them in our lives. They feel like family!”
