When Should You Schedule a Same-Day Appointment?

Not every concern is an emergency—but some issues shouldn’t wait. You should consider a same-day visit if your pet is experiencing:

Digestive Problems

Vomiting, diarrhea, or a sudden loss of appetite can signal anything from a mild upset to something more serious. Our Mount Airy team will evaluate the cause and help your pet feel better quickly.

Minor Injuries

Limping, sprains, or small wounds can disrupt your pet’s comfort and mobility. We provide same-day care to assess injuries, manage pain, and support a smooth recovery.

Eye & Ear Issues

Redness, discharge, squinting, or frequent scratching may indicate infection or irritation. Early treatment helps relieve discomfort and prevent the issue from worsening.

Allergies & Skin Irritation

Itching, rashes, and skin changes can escalate quickly. We’ll identify the underlying cause and provide targeted treatment to bring your pet lasting relief.

Coughing or Sneezing

Persistent coughing or sneezing can be a sign of respiratory illness or irritation. Our team will examine your pet and recommend care to help them breathe easier.

Toxin Ingestion

If your pet may have ingested something harmful—like chocolate, medications, or plants—contact us right away. Fast action can make a critical difference.
